SKIN TREATMENTS

Love the skin your in.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion treatment is a quick, non-invasive solution ideal for cleaning, refining and smoothing the skin surface, while stimulating healthy vital reactions in the deeper layers of the skin using micro massage. The microdermabrasion machine at Vic Laser & Skincare Clinic can be adjusted to suit all types of skin from oily to dry, and can treat different skin thicknesses, giving it the ability to assist a variety of skin concerns including acne, congestion, fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, and dry, flaky skin. Depending on the area being treated, the process can take as little as twenty minutes to perform, with results being seen after just one session.

Our experienced clinicians and registered nurses will guide you through the steps to making drastic improvements in skin conditions such as uneven textured skin, the appearance of scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, pore size, and superficial hyper-pigmentation, also known as age spots. Microdermabrasion treatments can also encourage active skin products such as collagen and Vitamin C to work in double the time by allowing them to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin faster.

Pigmentation Removal

Photo Rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment performed with medical-grade Laser technology. It is designed to target certain skin conditions, including pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damaged skin, broken capillaries, redness, and rosacea. The process works by using accurately targeted light energy to safely treat abnormal blood vessels or pigmentation. This stimulates the body’s natural healing process to assist in healing the condition, while also promoting the natural production of collagen, which leaves skin smoother and more evenly toned. Treatments have proven to generate substantial visible improvements in the skin without any recovery downtime. Similar to laser hair removal, the machine used to perform pigmentation removal is attracted to dark pigments and cannot be performed on tanned skins that have had recent exposure to the sun or are affected by spray or self-tanning.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are an effective way to improve a number of different skin conditions, targeting concerns on the face and body. Depending on your specific skin condition,
a treatment can be tailored using our diverse range of chemical solutions.

Chemical peels work in a variety of ways to stimulate cell renewal, refine, rejuvenate
and hydrate the skin, as well as regenerate and resurface damaged skin, making the results well worth the cost.

We offer a number of treatments, ranging from superficial to medium depth. The active ingredients we use include Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) – such as Glycolic, Lactic and Mandelic acid – as well as Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) like Salicylic acid, along with Retinoids (Vitamin A), Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and Enzymes. We currently offer a purple peel, ageless peel, 40% glycolic peel, enzymatic micro peel, each designed specifically to treat different conditions.

Skin Needling

Skin Needling, is a special regenerating treatment that safely penetrates deep into the underlying layers of skin, repairing and rejuvenating troubled areas. Based on acupuncture, and using multiple needles that differ in size, skin needling kick starts the body’s natural wound healing response underneath the skin. This results in the production and distribution of new collagen to help protect your skin. The procedure has been performed for many years, and has been proven to treat a number of skin conditions and problems including smoothing wrinkles and lines and improving skin texture, scarring, and stretch marks. The face is a common area for treatment; however, other areas of the body such as the hands, neck, back and chest can be treated just as successfully.

Skin Needling is a safe, tested and reliable procedure that involves creating rejuvenating microscopic punctures in the skin using a specialised stainless steel roller or pressing mechanism. The process involves multiple needles in various sizes acting together in the specific area of the treated condition. This dermal roller treatment creates tiny punctures in the skin that encourage the production of new collagen, known as collagen induction, and will progressively fill in the scar, stretch mark, or wrinkles being treated, making them less noticeable and in some cases removing them altogether. Each patient’s situation is different and results can vary. Other skin rejuvenating techniques utilise methods that can often remove the healthy top layer of skin. Skin needling creates dermal stimulation without attacking the outer layer, maximising the outward appearance of the area and speeding up the healing process at a much faster rate than other procedures. The procedure is proven to offer many benefits and also avoids some of the usual skin care related worries that other procedures can possess, such as the risk of permanent structural damage, increased sun sensitivity, skin colour loss and hyper pigmentation.
